# Compress PDF

**Compress PDF** reduces the file size of a PDF while keeping quality as high as possible — right in your browser, no account required.

### **How to Use**

The process is simple and consists of three basic steps:

#### **Step 1: Upload Your File**

* Go to **PDF Tools** and select **"Compress PDF."**
* Drag and drop a PDF file into the upload area, or click to browse your computer.

#### **Step 2: Choose a Compression Level**

* **Extreme Compression** — less quality, high compression, smallest file size.
* **Recommended Compression** — good quality, good compression. This is the best balance for most documents.
* **Less Compression** — high quality, less compression, for when visual fidelity matters most.

#### **Step 3: Compress and Download**

* Click **"Compress"**, then confirm in the dialog that appears.
* Once processing is complete, you'll see the size reduction (for example, from 6.7 MB to 3.5 MB). Click **"Download Document"** to save the compressed file to your device.
