Protect PDF encrypts a PDF file with a password so only people who know the password can open it — right in your browser, no account required.

How to Use

The process is simple and consists of three basic steps:

Step 1: Upload Your File

• Go to PDF Tools and select "Protect PDF."

• Drag and drop a PDF file into the upload area, or click to browse your computer.

Step 2: Set a Password

• Type the password you want to use to lock the file into the Password field.

Step 3: Protect and Download

• Click "Protect PDF."

• Once processing is complete, click "Download Document" to save the password-protected file to your device.
