# Unlock PDF

**Unlock PDF** removes password protection from a PDF file so it can be opened, edited, or shared without needing a password — right in your browser, no account required.

### **How to Use**

The process is simple and consists of three basic steps:

#### **Step 1: Upload Your File**

* Go to **PDF Tools** and select **"Unlock PDF."**
* Drag and drop a password-protected PDF file into the upload area, or click to browse your computer.

#### **Step 2: Enter the Password**

* Type the file's current password into the **Password** field.

#### **Step 3: Unlock and Download**

* Click **"Unlock PDF."**
* Once processing is complete, click **"Download Document"** to save the unlocked file to your device.
